Just a thread to compile the various bits of info with regards to the Virtual Insanity thread.
I've figured the following;
*Torchwood would've probably been reformed, an increase in Rift activity during the 2010s is partially responsible for this and perhaps the events of NB....depending on what actually happens of course.

*Magz suggested a sort of Prime Evil thing where Rifts pop up and then go at random all over the country, as a result Torchwood as extensive operations. Though a new head/director will be needed, plus we could go into detail and cover its structure much like I've done for the RRS.
*Whittleton has all but retired, taking on a non-operational desk job away from the limelight. Figured he would resume his all job as department head of Torchwood Intel, basically oversees the monitoring and reporting of Rifts plus related operations.
*Lothwyn would be in her early 40s (physical age of course, not actual which is like 170 something

), figured since she's an alien she would be working for TW perhaps as a Field Agent of some such.
*Lothwyn's twin daughters, now about 20, would probably also be working for TW as junior operatives. To them, Torchwood is basically just like a family....having grown up surrounded by it at every part of their lives.
*Related to the last two, Lothwyn would probably adopt a surname....which is something she lacks at present. I'll decide what it'll be depending on what happens during NB, naturally it'll be the same name that her daughters will take.
*Also figured that by the late 2020s, cyborgs and cybernetics would've started becoming a common sight. A few able to connect their minds into computer networks and perhaps even the internet, probably a tech that TW was one of the first to use. Possible ideas for characters there, I'm intending for at least one of the daughters to have a network implant.
*Britain would probably still be the UK by this point and perhaps William has taken the throne now. I'm having it so that we left the EU some point in the 2010s and strengthened ties once again with the British Commonwealth, a few old colonies have even rejoined the Commonwealth (I know that Crete desperately wants to rejoin the Empire). Think of it as a cross between NATO and the EU, a common market and shared military and technology.
*A fourth Service has been added to the British Armed Forces in the shape of the Royal Space Force, it enjoys a good working relationship with Torchwood. Hopefully by this point man has step foot on other planets within the solar system. Who knows....perhaps the Moon and Mars could feature in the RP?

*The EU has evolved into the European Federation, a progress that had already begun by the time of Britain's departure from the EU in 2014....come to think of it could have an event to mark this in the RP.
*The US is no longer a world superpower, it endured the collapse of the dollar in 2012 from which its economy never really recovered. A new currency was introduced in 2016 in the form of the AmCred, though it remains crippled by inflation. Its military presence overseas was greatly cut back, its last remaining bases are in the UK, Japan and Korea. The Union remains in a State of Emergency, a power hungry China looms across the Pacific whilst the Russians fortify their position in Alaska after buying it back from off the American government.
*India is a world power along with China and EuroFed, all three are locked in bitter rivalry and Cold War with one another.
*The revived British Commonwealth has placed itself aloof and above the 'youngest and brashest countries' of the world and 'their petty fights'. Its forces stand ready to cross the Canadian border should the US fall whilst keeping a very close eye to the West and the Alaskan reaches. Though its greatest concern is India and its squabbles with China and other Asian countries.
